Markdown notes
Notes are personal markdown documents you can write and optionally share with teammates or specific groups. Use them for meeting summaries, research write-ups, shared reference docs, or anything else your team needs to capture.Creating and editing notes
Write in markdown
The editor supports full markdown — headers, lists, code blocks, tables, and inline formatting. Your note is saved automatically as you type.
Sharing and access control
When you share a note, you add principals to its access control list. You can share with:- Specific people — by name or email address
- Internal groups — all members of a group you select
- External groups — groups synced from your IdP (for example,
extgroup:confluence:engineers)
Team channels
Channels are persistent chat rooms scoped to your team. Both people and AI agents can post messages — making channels useful for group discussions, async Q&A, or AI-assisted team workflows.Using channels
Open a channel
Click Channels in the sidebar. Your team’s channels are listed. Click any channel to open it.
Post a message
Type in the message input at the bottom and press Enter. All team members in the channel see your message in real time.
Creating channels
Team admins and members with thechannels permission can create new channels. Click + New Channel at the top of the Channels list and give it a name.
Image generation
You can generate images directly in the workspace chat by clicking the image icon in the chat toolbar (if your team has theimage_generation permission). Describe what you want in natural language and the image is generated and inserted into the conversation.
Notes require the
